Attahiyat and Tashahhud Narrated in Hadeeth from The Prophet

Attahiyyat and Tashahhud:The wordings for the Attahiyyat and Tashahhud and the blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that have been narrated in reports are many and various.

It is best for the Muslim to recite all of them, saying it in one form on one occasion and in another form on another occasion, and so on, so that he will have done all the Sunnahs.

He should not limit himself only to some of them. But if that is too hard for him, then he should stick to what he is able to do, and there is no sin on him (Insha Allaah).

There follow some of the versions of the Attahiyyat and Tashahhud and blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that have been narrated in proven reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in the prayer.

1-Attahiyyat and Tashahhud Bin Masood and Bin Umar

Abdullah bin Mas’ud narrated:
“Allah’s Messenger taught us, that when we sit for every two Rak’ah we should say, “At-Tahyyatulillah, was-salawatu wattayybaat. As-salamu alaika ayyuhannabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, as-salamu alaina wa ala ibadillahis-salihin. Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa ashadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa Rasuluh.”

(All greetings, prayers, and pure words are Allah. Peace be upon you O Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and all of the righteous worshippers of Allah. I testify that nne has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s servant and Messenger.)

2-Attahiyyat and Tashahhud Bin Abbas

Abdullah Ibn Abbas narrated:
“Allah’s Messenger would teach us the Tashah-hud just as he would teach us the Qur’an. He would say, “At-Tahiyyatu, al mubarakatu, as-salawatu at-tayyibatu Lillah. Salamun alaika, ayyuhan-naibiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu, salamun alaina wa ala ibadalillahis-salihin. Ash’hadu an la ilaha illallahu, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa Rasuluh.”

(All greetings, goodness, prayers, and pure words are for Allah. Peace be upon you O Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and His blessings, Peace be upon us and all of the righteous worshippers of Allah. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s worshipper and Messenger.)

3-Attahiyyat and Tashahhud Of Umar

The tashahhud of ‘Umar was recited by him on the minbar in order to teach the people: “At-tahiyyaatu Lillaahi, az-zaakiyaatu Lillaahi, al-tayyibaatu Lillaahi, al-salawaatu Lillaahi. As-salaamu ‘alayka ayyuha’n-Nabiyyu wa rahmat-Allaahi wa barakaatuhu. As-salaamu ‘alayna wa ‘alaa ‘ibaad-Illaah is-saaliheen. (All compliments are due to Allaah, all pure things are due to Allaah, all pure words are due to Allaah, all prayers are due to Allaah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allaah and His blessings. Peace be upon us, and on the righteous slaves of Allaah. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).tashahhud and attahiyyat

Homosexuality and Sodomy is a Curse and Shameful Activity

Today we will be discussing the topic of Homosexuality.

What is the Homosexuality?

The quality or characteristic of being sexually attracted solely to people of one’s own sex is homosexuality.

homosexuality is curse

Why is homosexuality?

Allah created this beautiful world only for a human being. Allah inaugurated this world by sending the man with his partner who was a woman for he knew that the man can’t live without a woman as she can’t live without him.

Allah counted this as His reward and gift for the mankind in the Holy Quran says, “And it is in His signs that He has created for you wives from among yourselves, so that you may find tranquillity in them, and He has created love and kindness between you. Surely in this the signs for a people who reflect.”

Thus Allah sent them both and made them concomitance for each other but the men have been made caretaker of women. Allah says in the holy Quran, “Men are the caretaker of women since Allah has made some of them excel the others, and because of the wealth they have spent.”

However these two close friends are partners of life but there are many differences between them, in their physical structure, in their patients, in their attitude, behavior, thinking ability, decision-making ability, and many more things. The man has more power than the woman. Man can bear the hot winds of the society for he has some patience but the woman has no ability of it.

So these two types of the flowers-man and woman- make this garden (the world) beautiful and fill the color in this world by making between them a lovely relationship.

So, they become the reason for increasing the garden one by one and this is the beauty of this relationship of partnership and this is the main purpose of making them concomitant with each other. This is why Allah sent them both together not one by one.

So, it’s proved that the needed thing to complete the pair is in the opposite sex not in its own sex.

A brief history of homosexuality

Here is everything you need to know about today’s topic.

When is it started?

The people who lived in the territory now called Trans-Jordan and is situated between ‘Iraq and Palestine attempted first time this most heinous sin.

According to the Bible, its head-quarters was Sodom which was situated somewhere near the Dead Sea or has been submerged in it.

The Talmud says that they had four more big cities besides Sodom, and the land between these cities looked like one big garden for miles and charmed the onlookers. But now those cities cannot be located with accuracy because the whole land is covered by the Dead Sea, which is also called Lot’s Sea.

Who was Lot?

Prophet Lot was the nephew of Prophet Abraham. He left ‘Iraq’ along with his uncle and travelled with him over Syria, Palestine, and Egypt in order to gain experience for the propagation of the Message. Then he was appointed as a Messenger by Allah and sent to reform the wicked tribe.

It is a pity that in the existing Bible, which has been tampered with by the Jews, the character of Prophet Lot has been blemished. Besides other things, even his mission to the plains of Jordan has been described as a migration to a fertile land after “a strife between the herdsmen of Abraham’s cattle and the herdsmen of Lot’s cattle”. (Genesis 5: 12, 13). But the Qur’an refutes this allegation and says that Lot was appointed a Messenger and was sent there in order to reform those people.

At many places, the Qur’an mentions some other crimes of these people, but at every place where these people come, Quran mentions only their most heinous crime (homo sexuality) that brought about the scourge of Allah on them.

Who did make it lawful?

Although wicked people have always been committing this most heinous sin that has given the people of Sodom an everlasting notoriety, yet it has always been considered a filthy and detestable act.

But the only people who have ever tried to raise it to a moral excellence, were the Greek philosophers in the ancient world, and the Europeans in the modern world.

The latter are doing their utmost to make up the deficiency by making an open propaganda for it, and have succeeded in giving this filthy act a legal sanction. So much so that the legislatures of some countries have legalized it.

Why is homosexuality a social crime and curse to the men?

It does not require an elaborate argument to show that homosexuality is a horrible social crime and a heinous sin.
For the Creator has made the male and the female of each and every living species different from the difference in the human species has been created to serve another purpose.

This is to urge the two to live together in order to form a family along with their offspring.

For this is the foundation of a civilized life for which man has been created.

That is why their bodies have been made complementary to attract each other for the satisfaction of sex urges and for the service of the natural function of reproduction of the species.

Why is he a deceiver who commits that heinous sin?

Therefore the one who satisfies this sex urge (lust) in an unnatural way becomes guilty of many crimes at one and the same time.

(1) Such a one, so to speak, wages a war against the natural and physical functioning of his own organs and those of the victims of his lust. This inevitably produces very harmful effects on their physiques, their minds, and their morality.

(2) He becomes guilty of treachery and dishonesty against Nature for he enjoys sexual pleasure, without performing the necessary service of his species and civilization and without fulfilling the rights and obligations attached to it.

(3) He commits a breach of trust against the society in general for he enjoys all the benefits of the civilized society, but in his turn does not take on himself the responsibilities of the married life and wastes all his powers in the unnatural gratification of his sexual desires.

This selfish and unworthy attitude is not only useless but also positively harmful to the collective morality. Thus he makes himself unfit for the service of the family and of the human race and produces unnatural feminine characteristics in, at least, one other male, and opens the way to adultery and moral degradation for at least two women.

Why is this the worst community on earth?

The very fact that the people who started this sin could not tolerate even the presence of pious people among them, shows that they had gone to the lowest depths of moral degradation.

They were not only shameless, wicked and immoral but also had lost every feeling of goodness and virtue. That is why they wanted to turn out Prophet Lot and his followers so that none should be left among them to invite them to virtue.

What did happen with them who started the crime of homosexuality?

When they, as a community, reached this extreme limit of wickedness and no vestige of goodness was left in them, Allah decreed that they should be totally exterminated because there was then no justification for their existence on the earth. Their case may be likened to a basket of apples, most of which are rotten, and only a few are good. When the good apples are taken out of it, then the remaining fruit becomes utterly useless and should, therefore, be thrown away into a heap of garbage.

Allah said, “We rained down upon them a rain. So, look! How was the fate of the sinners!”

The “rain” was not a rain of water but a rain of stones as has been explicitly stated at many places in the Qur’an.
“When our command came to pass we turned their habitations upside down and rained on it stones of hard clay one over another marked from your Lord. And it is not far from the transgressors.”

What is the punishment of who support these sinners?

It has been made clear in the Quran that Lot’s wife supported her disbelieving relatives in their conflict with the Prophet, and did not leave them up to the end. That is why Allah ordained that Lot should not take her away with his followers.
Allah Says, “So, move with your family in a part of the night, and none of you shall turn to look back, except your woman. There has to befall her whatever will befall them.”

At many places, the Qur’an merely declares that sodomy is such a heinous sin that it brought the wrath of Allah on a people.

Then we learn from the guidance of the Holy Prophet that it is the duty of the Islamic State to eradicate this crime and should punish those who are guilty of it.

In regard to this there are traditions with wording to this effect: (a) “kill the sodomite and the object of sodomy”. (b) ” ……whether they are married or unmarried”. (e) “Stone to death the upper one and the lower one”. But no definite and specific punishment was prescribed for the criminals because, during his time, no case of sodomy was ever brought before the Holy Prophet.

There are, however, some traditions from his successors regarding this.

Hadrat Ali is of the opinion that the criminals should be killed with a sword and the dead bodies should not be buried but burnt to ashes. Hadrat Abu Bakr also agrees with it.

Hadrat Umar and Hadrat Uthman arc of the opinion that they should be taken under the roof of a dilapidated building, which should be pulled down on them.

Hadrat lbn Abbas has decreed that they should be thrown down headlong from the top of the highest building of the habitation and then stoned to death.

Imam Shaafi`i says that both the criminals involved in sodomy should be killed, whether married or unmarried.

According to Sha`abi” Zuhari, Malik and Ahmad, they should be stoned to death.

Saeed bin Musayyib, ‘Ata, Hasan Basri, Ibrahim Nakha`i, Sufyan Thauri, and Auza`i are of the opinion that the punishment is the same as for adultery, that is, one hundred stripes and exile for the unmarried, and stoning to death for the married.

Imam Abu Hanifah is of the opinion that the culprit should be punished in accordance with the circumstances of the crime with an exemplary punishment. There is also a saying of Imam Shafi`i to this effect.

It should also be noted that it is unlawful for the husband to commit sodomy with his own wife. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has declared, “The man who commits such an act with a woman is accursed” and “Allah will not even look at a person who commits this offense with a woman”.

In another Tradition, he has warned, “The one who cohabits with a woman in her menses or commits sodomy with her or goes to a soothsayer and believes him to be true is a disbeliever in what has been sent down to Muhammad.”

What Is Ramadan – What is the Purpose of Ramadan Kareem

What Is Ramadan – Ramadan Karim is one of the most beautiful months in the Islamic calendar. This is the ninth month of the lunar calendar. This is the month in which the Quran had revealed from Loh-E-Mahfooz to the nearest sky of the earth.

A most blessed month in which lies a night greater in virtue than thousand months, a special night named Lailatul Qadr. This is indeed the month of patience, kindness, and mercy, sacrifice.

what is ramdan

What Is Ramadan

Hardhat Salman (RA) reports, that the prophet Muhammad (SAW) said,

“0 people! There comes over you now a great month, a most blessed month in which lies a night greater in virtue than a thousand months.”

Therefore Allah ordered the men to fast by day in this holy month.

Prophet further said in that hadith,

“It is a month in which Allah has made Fasting compulsory by day. And has made sunnah the Taraaweeh by night.”

So everyone should try to reduce the difference between him and Allah.

Prophet said, “Whosoever intends drawing near to Allah by performing any virtuous deed, for such person shall be the reward like the one who had performed a fardh in any other time. And whoever performs a fardh, shall be blessed with the reward of seventy faraa-idh in any other time.”

The fasting wants patience

One who doesn’t have the patience can’t complete the task of Ramadan

Prophet said,

“This is indeed the month of patience, and the reward for true patience is Jannah (paradise). It is the month of sympathy with one’s fellowmen.”

jumma mubarak ramadan mubarak images

When one can do this he will be rewarded by Allah in this way

It is the month wherein a true believer’s rizq is increased. Whosoever feeds another who fasted, in order to break the fast at sunset, for the feeder there shall be forgiveness of sins and emancipation from the fire of Jahannam (hell), and for such feeder shall be the same reward as the one who Fasted (who he fed) without that persons reward being decreased in the least.

Thereupon we said, “0 Messenger of Allah, not all of us possess the means whereby we can give a fasting person to break his fast.”

Rasulullah (SAW) replied, “Allah grants the same reward to the one who gives a fasting person to break the fast a mere date, or a drink of water, or a sip of milk.”

This month is divided into three decades,

“This is a month, the first of which brings Allah’s mercy, the middle of which brings His forgiveness, and the last of which brings emancipation from the fire of Jahannam.”

Mercy demands kindness to everyone,

“Whosoever lessens the burden of his servants (bondsmen) in this month, Allah will forgive him and free him from the fire of Jahannam.”

What would I do when I find the month of Ramadan?

The prophet said,

” In this month four things you should continue to perform in great number, two of which shall be to please your Lord, while the other two shall be those without which you cannot do. Those which shall be to please your Lord, are that you should in great quantity bear witness that there is no deity to worship except Allah {i.e. recite the Kalimah Tayyibah (لا إله الا الله )Laa llaaha illallaah} and make much Istighfaar {beg Allah’s forgiveness with (أستغفر الله )Astaghfirul-laah}.” And as for those without which you cannot do, you should beg of Allah, entrance into paradise and ask refuge in Him from Jahannam.”

What is the reward for those who respect the fasting person?

“And whoever gave, a person who fasted, water to drink, Allah shall grant that giver to drink from My fountain

(kothar) such a drink where after that person shall never again feel thirsty until he enters Jannah.”

(Reported by Ibn Khuzaimah in his ‘Saheeh)

jumma mubarak ramadan mubarak images

The followers of Muhammad (saw) are rewarded with five things for fasting which was not given to anyone. Allah Loves every act of the fasting person and decorates the whole world for him:

Abu Hurayrah relates that Rasulullah (SAW) said,

“My Ummah have given five things for Ramadan which were not given to anyone except them.”

1- The smell from the mouth of a fasting person, of my Ummah, is sweeter to Allah than the fragrant smell of musk.
2- On their behalf, the fish in the sea seek forgiveness for the fasting persons of my Ummah until they break their fast.
3- Allah prepares and decorates a special garden in Jannah every day and then says (to it), “The time is near when faithful servants shall cast aside the great trials of the world and come to you.
4- In this month (for them) evil-minded Satan is chained so as not to reach unto those evils to which they normally reach during other months besides Ramadan.
5-On the last night of Ramadan they are forgiven.

The Sahaabah R.A. thereupon enquired, “0 Messenger of Allah, Is that last night Laylatul Qadr?
Rasulullah (SAW) replied, “No. But it is only right that a servant should be given his reward on having completed his service”.

(Reported by Ahmad, Bazzaar, and Bayhaqi)

Allah appreciates the work of fasting persons:

Ubaadah bin Saamit reports that one day when Ramadan had drawn near, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álaihi Wasallam) said,

“Ramadan, (the month of blessings) has come to you, Wherein Allah turns towards you and sends down to you His special Mercy, forgives your faults, accepts your prayers, appreciates your competition for the greatest, good and boasts to the angels about you. So, show to Allah your righteousness; for verily, the most pitiable and unfortunate one is he who is deprived of Allah’s Mercy in this month.”

Allah grants what his followers ask him:

Abu Hurairah reports: Rasulullah (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

“There are three people whose “Du’aa” is not rejected;
1-The fasting person until he breaks the fast,
2-The just ruler,
3-The oppressed person, whose ‘Dua’ Allah lifts above the clouds and opens unto it the doors of heaven, and Allah says: “I swear by my honor, verily I shall assist you, even though it may be after some time.”

jumma mubarak ramadan mubarak images (2)

Allah ordered not to fast for Him but it is a protective shield for men:

Abu Ubaidah (Radiallahu Ánhu) reports: “I have heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Álayhi Wasallam) saying:

“Fasting is a protective Shield for Man, as long as he does not tear up that protection.”

So, the month of Ramadan is a Favorable environment for good deeds. Everyone should participate in this environment.

Abu Hurayrah reports that Rasulullah (S.W.) said,

“Whosoever eats on one day of Ramadan without a valid reason or excuse or genuine illness (acceptable in Shari-ah), shall never be able to compensate for that day even by fasting the rest of his life”
(Reported by Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood, and Ibn Majah)

And one who doesn’t respect this glorious month Allah has no need of him,

Once the prophet said, when I ascended the first step of my mimbar, Jibraeel (A.S.) appeared before me and said,

“Woe to him who found the blessed month of Ramadan and let it pass by without gaining forgiveness”.

Upon that, I said, “Aameen. (Reported by Haakim)

This sentence has been taken from the hadith mentioned below,

Kaab bin Ujra relates, “Rasulullah (SAW) said, “Come near to the Mimbar”. And we came near to the Mimbar.
When he ascended the First step of the Mimbar he said “Aameen”. When he ascended the second step of the Mimbar he said, “Aameen”. When he ascended the third step he said, “Aameen”.

When he descended we said, “0 Rasool of Allah, we have heard from you today something which we never heard before”.
“. When I ascended the second step, he said “Woe to him before whom thy name is mentioned and then does not read Durood (salat alan Nabi) on you”. I replied “Aameen”. When I ascended the third step he said,

“Woe unto the person in whose presence both parents or one of them attain old age, and (through failure to serve them) is not allowed to enter Jannah,” I said “Ameen”. (Reported by Haakim) That’s the end of the article

SAWM: Important Fatwas About Fasting

Sawm, important fatwas about fasting in 2018. Here is the list of fatwa on fasting. Just check the below mentioned fasts and post your suggestion in the comment section.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيمdarulifta - swam, fatwa, fasting

(1) While performing ablution (wudhu) in fasting, if thread like particles of miswak goes into my throat, then the fast will be valid or broken?

(2) While performing ablution (wudhu) in fasting, if thread like particles of miswak goes into my throat and by making effort I spit out some of the particles, then the fast will be valid or broken?

ANSWER

(1, 2) Fast will break if one uses miswak in the state of fast and swallows the particles of miswak intentionally and qaza is necessary whether the particles are less or more. However if one or two particles of miswak enter down the throat without intention then fast will not be invalid as it is not possible to avoid it.

(3) I have chronic kidney stones problem. For last 12 years I am suffering with this issue and passed through couple of stones. In last 9 years I have had 4 surgical operations to remove these stones and related issues. The last operation I just had end of this March 2017 and not going to my work for last 2 months.

I still have 6 mm stone in my left kidney. I should need to consume 2 to 3 litter water every day. Dehydration is not good for my kidney stones problem. Could you please tell me that what I should do for fasting in Ramadan? Should do fasting in Ramadan? I do fasting in Ramadan.

But now I feel that I increase the risk level very high when I give Dehydration to my body. I live in UK where fasting hours are very long, around 19 to 20 hours per day. I need advice/fatwa that what I should do according to my health condition.

ANSWER

If in case of keeping fast one fears his life or increase of illness then in such cases it is allowable not to keep the fast of Ramadan. In future when your health is recovered you should make qaza of these fasts.

In case your health is not restored then make a will to pay the fidyah of your missed fasts or pay the fidyah in your life time. The fidyah of one fast is 1 kg and 633 gram wheat or its price it should be given to the poor and needy ones.

(4) I am insulin dependent diabetic person. Last Ramadan I missed 7 sawm which I kept as ‘qaza’ now. This year Ramadan is in May-June. My questions are

(a) Can I avoid keeping ‘sawm’ during the Ramadan taking into my physical condition?
(b) Taking insulin 15-30 minutes before Iftar is allowed under Islam or not?

ANSWER

It is allowable to have injection during fast, it does not invalidate the fast. Since insulin is a kind of injection thus you may take it in the state of fasting if needed, your fast shall not break.

(5) In fasting period (roza), while making wudhu or bathing, if water put to wash into eyes. Will the fast remain or break?

ANSWER

Fast does not break if water enters in the eye while making wudhu or ghusl, the fast shall remain intact.

(6) When we are napak in sawm (roza) from what process we will be holy, though we cannot give water in nose and mouth? Please kindly say about it?

ANSWER

In case one becomes impure during Ramadan the method of ghusl is that one cleans the mouth well and does not gargle. Similarly one should clean the nose with water and should not take water heavily to an extent that water reaches up to the brain. Fast does not break if water is put in the mouth and nose, rather fast breaks when water goes down the throat or to the brain.
